Social Media Communications Specialist at Greenpeace Ukraine

We are looking for a Social Media Communications Specialist to strengthen Greenpeace Ukraine’s brand presence across social media by creating and implementing impactful digital content strategies that grow engagement, expand supporter communities, and amplify the organisation’s voice on environmental and climate issues in Ukraine. Job requirements
The main scope of the role will include but not be limited to:
Development and optimization of all digital channels of Greenpeace Ukraine (website, FB and Instagram as a priority)
Prepare the social media part of campaigns, participate in campaign discussions and planning regarding strategic issues, campaigns and organisational planning;
Use analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of social media communication, provide subsequent reports and make proposals for tailoring the strategy and tactics based on the analytics;
Content creator for digital channels in coordination with responsible campaigner, engagement coordinator or other colleagues from Greenpeace Ukraine when applicable;
Social media comments oversight & quick reaction on all channels;
Content creator for website of Greenpeace Ukraine in Ukrainian and English;
FB ads development, implementation and analysis;
Contributes to visual communication efforts (e.g. photography, video and digital design) when needed
Advise Greenpeace campaigners on how and why to use social media for campaigns;
Support the other Communications Specialists in better understanding social media strategies and the opportunities that these tools can create to meet campaign or organisational goals;
Ensure the content reflects the brand, values and tone of the organisation, is in line with communications strategies and reaches the target audiences.
What we are looking for:
Fluent in Ukrainian
Upper intermediate spoken and written English (B2), communication with English-speakers is needed
Bachelor's degree in communications or related spheres
2-3 years of professional experience in social media
Genuine passion and enthusiasm for environmental protection. Sharing Greenpeace values
Technical skills: WordPress is a plus, but not mandatory, Social media tools, media analytics tools
Design skills: basics design in Canva, and video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro would be a plus
Soft Skills: High level of autonomy and self-management, strong self-initiative, critical and analytical thinking, effectiveness and efficiency, ability to learn fast, creativity and courage
Possibility to travel (reservation from the army is not provided)
Work experience or volunteering in NGO sector is a plus

The role holder reports to the office director. The position is to be based in Kyiv, Ukraine. The final salary is based on the organization's salary system and the relevant experience of the position holder. We are receiving applications on a rolling basis.
