Job description
We’re in a crucial decade for slowing, even reversing, the climate and nature crises in a way that improves the lives of people - particularly those on the frontline who have contributed the least. Effective digital communication is an essential contribution to driving people-powered action and building a fairer, greener future in Romania and beyond.
This role will be responsible for making sure our content across owned, earned and paid channels meets the moment. We’re looking for an experienced digital communications professional to join our Communications and Engagement team. As a seasoned strategic and creative thinker and creator, you’ll have knowledge and willingness to grow it in co-developing and delivering integrated digital and traditional communications campaigns that shift power and drive change in volatile and interconnected systems.
You’ll have extensive experience working across a range of strategies and tactics - know how to grow and engage our online community and be abreast and responsive to trends and social, political and environmental developments.. And of course, you’ll have an understanding of and passion to partake in the kind of bold and creative direct actions that are core to the Greenpeace DNA.

What You'll Do:
Create Engaging Content: Turn Greenpeace campaigns into compelling stories for our social media, website, and newsletters.
Collaborate Globally: Work closely with local and regional teams to develop and implement creative content strategies.
Produce Stunning Visuals: Create digital assets like photos, videos, and graphics or collaborate with contractors to bring your vision to life.
Strategize and Implement: Help shape and deliver our communications strategy for both campaign and fundraising efforts.
Lead with Creativity and Impact: Inspire Greenpeace staff with innovative ideas and guide them in using digital channels effectively.
Amplify our Voice: Write captivating, human content that aligns with Greenpeace's mission, values, and goals.

What We’re Looking For:
A Digital Enthusiast: You’re in love with all things digital, from social media to visual storytelling, and bring mid-level experience with a creative, accountable, and collaborative approach.
Creative Powerhouse: You’re brimming with ideas that transform into compelling narratives and visual content, backed by experience in creating both digital and PR materials.
Team Player & Project Manager: You thrive in collaborative environments, can manage projects independently, and possess strong project management skills to ensure success even under pressure.
Quick Thinker: You can adapt swiftly to evolving project and external needs, meet deadlines, and work effectively in high-pressure situations, leveraging your expertise in digital and PR content.
Brave and Bold Professional: You’re unafraid to suggest innovative ideas and challenge the status quo, including confronting injustices and abuses of power. Familiarity with paid activation and experience in NGO or activism settings is a bonus.
