Greenpeace CEE is one of the leading campaigning organisations in 8 countries in Central and Eastern Europe.We inspire, engage, and mobilize people to win the struggle for the future. Currently we are looking for
located in one of the regional offices, preferably in Poland, Hungary, Romania or Slovakia
to build a powerful, connected and skilled network of professional staff in the Local offices (Loffs) who are able to work with local communities and grass-root movements and also mobilize and manage Greenpeace volunteers and activists. Together with local staff, this person will define and implement the engagement strategies for Greenpeace CEE in collaboration with other related units.
You will be responsible for:
• STRATEGY by
Creating and implementing the regional offline engagement strategy
Supporting local staff leading engagement strategies for regional or national campaigns
Promoting exchange and collaboration between Loff staff involved in campaign planning
Advising Loffs on National (Offline) Engagement/Mobilization Strategies (especially for the achievement of the 3YP) as well as implementation tactics.
• COMMUNITY BUILDING by
Organising regional skillshares, and the exchange or mentoring programs between Loffs
Creating and administering regional community communication channels such as the Vol-coord list, community calls, newsletter
Being the contact person for request coming from Vol-Lab and other organizational bodies
Representing the opinions of volunteers’ coordinators and volunteers of the region and sharing their needs,not just regionally but also globally
• CAPACITY BUILDING by
Developing the region's volunteer network to strengthen the region's campaign and development plans
Design and implement trainings adapted to Loffs demands, or designed for the global community
Maintain and update the resources allocated in the Greennet. Create or organise new resources and adapt them to new formats or allocations.
You will have:
Experience with volunteering, offline mobilisation, organising or related entities like engagement, mobilisation, digital and fundraising
Project management skills/experience
Facilitation and training/learning skills/experience
Capacity to adapt the global strategies to national/local long term plans
Proven ability to both coordinate with a collaborative team and work independently to deliver results
Experience working in remote teams and by video-conference, as well as experience in working in international environment
Willingness and ability to travel and a flexible approach to work (travel around 20-30%)
Critical thinking and time-management skills.
Ability to operate and lead under pressure and in challenging situations, including proven ability to effectively adjust plans to rapidly changing circumstances
Fluency in written and spoken English
