Head of Regional Programme Directors' Office - Internal Recruitment

Job description

We are looking for an experienced person with a rich proficiency in providing a high level of organisation and process leadership for the regional program of Greenpeace CEE.

The purpose of this role is to support the programme director, and work as part of the PD team, in streamlining programme related processes as well as the upkeep and development of the regional programme and programme community in line with the directions of global, EU and regional plans, as well as #StrongerTogether.

The scope of your work will include but not be limited to:

Strategic & Conceptual

  • Full and up-to-date overview of the regional programme portfolio including budget oversight

  • Coordinating the programme related processes in close collaboration with key regional colleagues

  • Development of structures and processes that enhance regional collaboration

  • Driving capacity development for regional programme staff

  • Contributing to the development of the regional program, assisting local offices in program development processes

Implementation

  • Ensuring the flow of global and European-level information to the regional programme teams

  • Organisation and facilitation of regional programme check-in calls

  • Development and upkeep of a functional and responsive regional communication protocol

  • Monitoring and evaluation of the development of regional collaboration

  • Quarterly preparation of the report to the board

  • Conceptual and practical organisation of regional meetings

  • Coordinating GPCEE attendance to and subsequent dissemination of information from international meetings

Leadership/ Support/ Coaching

  • Facilitation of regionally relevant meetings upon request

  • Task giving OR Line managing regional portfolio manager

  • Leading regional projects or response work upon request (not on a permanent basis)

  • Acting up to represent the PD in various meetings upon request

Job requirements

  • Experience at least 3 years in any area of Greenpeace CEE programme work
  • Experience in project management, M&E and process design

  • High level of communication skills

  • Sound judgement and decision making under pressure

  • High level of professionalism

  • Achievement and solution oriented mindset

  • High ability in creating good interpersonal relationship and handling conflicts

  • Values for diversity and inclusion;

  • Ability to think out-of-the-box and innovation mindset

The role holder is reporting to the Regional Programme Director. The position is to be based in one of the local offices within CEE7. The salary depends on the local salary scale. The final salary is based on the organisation's salary system and the relevant experience of the position holder.
